"Use Your Frenzy Universe Penny” Contest

This contest is a creative challenge to anyone receiving a Frenzy Universe branded penny. Participants will make an original piece of artwork or costumery using AT LEAST one (1) Frenzy Universe branded penny. The image on the penny must be visible in the work. This is a G-rated contest; any entries that are not deemed suitable for all ages by the staff of Frenzy Universe will be disqualified (even if we think it is awesome). The suitability of entries is at the sole discretion of the staff at Frenzy Universe. Pennies will be given away at conventions attended by Frenzy Universe representatives (check our Convention Schedule in our FAQ section), and with every website purchase. Pennies can also be acquired by sending a request along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the mailing address listed on our Contact page; one penny per envelope, design will be randomly selected. Entering this contest constitutes agreement to abide by all contest rules, regulations, and procedures.
Deadline for Contest #7 submissions is March 31, 2012. Contest #6 submissions are now closed. This is a rolling contest: four contests will be held each calendar year, with the submission time for each contest being 3 months. Contest #8 submission deadline is June 31, 2012. All submissions will be assigned to a contest based on the date of receipt. (In other words, if we receive your submission on April 1, 2012, your artwork will be included in Contest #8.)
Restrictions One entry per household; the first entry received for a household will be the official entry for that household. Contest is open to individuals 18 years and older, or 13 years and older with parental/legal guardian consent. Submissions must be original works. Frenzy Universe accepts no liability regarding the authenticity of submissions.
Submissions must consist of: 1) a photograph of the original artwork or costume piece; 2) entrant’s name, address, email address, age, and name of legal parent or guardian, if applicable; 3) a short description of the item and/or technique used in its creation for proof of authenticity; and/or 4) a description of the item’s purpose, use, or function. Do NOT mail original pieces. We are not responsible for shipped items. Please label any email entries with the following subject text – “Frenzy Universe Penny Contest”. Photographs can be submitted in the following formats: .jpg, .tif, .gif, .pdf. Entering this contest constitutes permission being granted to Frenzy Universe to use the images provided for promotional purposes and making such images available to the public for the purpose of voting.
How it Works: Entries received by midnight Eastern Time on the contest deadline date will be judged by the staff of FrenzyUniverse.com to select the three (3) semi-finalists. The submitted photographs of the three (3) semi-finalists will be posted on www.FrenzyUniverse.com/FunStuff.cfm and all visitors to the site will be able to vote on their favorite. The opening of the poll will be announced on www.FrenzyUniverse.com/FunStuff.cfm, via email to all who sign up for email notifications, on our Blog, and on our Twitter and Facebook pages (be sure to follow us to be notified!). We will also notify all semi-finalists by using the contact information provided with their entry. The voting will be open for two weeks. The semi-finalist with the most votes by the closing of the poll will be announced as the winner and will receive a $25 discount code valid at www.FrenzyUniverse.com/default.aspx.
